Asset backed: The public and the private

Public ABS strategies are now well established within credit portfolios, with Private Asset Based Financing (ABF) seeing an ascendency in more recent years. Despite having similar names, how comparable are these two asset classes?

ABS was stress tested during Covid and the gilts crisis of 2022, with its private ABF counterpart going through its own period of headlines at present. Royal London Asset Management’s portfolio managers Jeremy Deacon and Seema Sopal will describe these two asset classes; how they can be additive to fixed income portfolios in different ways, how they have navigated periods of volatility in the past, and what is behind current headlines.

Why attend?

Join us to hear from our ABS specialists as they break down the major themes shaping secured credit today, share insights from across US, European and Australian markets, and discuss where they see prospective opportunities and challenges emerging.

Our lunchtime sessions will explore:

  • What’s shaping today’s ABS and Private Credit market
  • The roles that public ABS and private Asset Based Financing can play in achieving investor objectives
  • Live Q&A and discussion
